Mobile grooming appts usually book up to 1 week in advance. Please be sure and call us a day in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We require at least 20ft or space in the driveway. Due to wear and tear issues, we no longer will travel down dirt or un maintained roads. Please have your dog leashed and pottied when we arrive! Cats should be in a kennel for safe delivery in and out of the home.
Mobile Grooming appts usually last 45 to 60 minutes for one dog and up to 90 minutes for two. Your pet is kept safe and secure on a leash on our grooming tables. Pets are never left alone. The grooming facility is clean and climate controlled and pets are washed in clean, warm water only.

Customers frequently ask us how they can maintain their pets between groomings to help keep grooming costs affordable and make the experience easier on their pets as well. This is a great idea and not only helps you and your pet but also helps your groomer to do the best job he or she can.
Different breeds require different maintenance levels and degrees of upkeep, with long-haired breeds requiring more. This is true for cats as well. Medium to long hair haired pets should be brushed once a week. Start at the ends of the hair and work your way up until you reach the root, if you encounter a mat, stop and separate it with your fingers or a comb and then continue on your way. If you cannot remove the mat, leave it for the groomer to clip out.
Placing the pet on a table or washer or dryer using a towel to prevent slipping is recommended. Have a friend or relative help keep the pet steady and calm. We recommend the Universal Slicker brush( large) for medium and long coats. Careful not to scratch the pets skin. For short breeds we recommend the Millers Forge Soft Slicker brush. A nice trick is to turn the brush backwards which really pulls that undercoat up and out, as always very gently.
Lets face it pets love to get dirty! Many customers bathe their pets between groomings and we do encourage this. but remember, if your pet has longer hair he'll need to be brushed first. Bathing can worsen existing mats. Here are a few thing to think about when you bathe your pet:
Nails on dogs and cats should be trimmed only to the quick. The quick is where the nail is no longer nail and becomes part of the flesh, trimming beyond this can cause bleeding and is painful. Remember your last hangnail? We do our best to trim nails as short as possible without cutting the quick, unfortunately some pets don't care for this and struggle, many times causing exactly what they fear. When this happens the nail is treated with Quick Stop which stops any bleeding immediately. The best way to keep your dogs nails as short and healthy as possible is to walk him daily on pavement, dogs who are walked often generally have healthy short nails.
Remember even nails that are walked on pavement daily have a "dew claw" which is sort of like a thumb and will grow around until it enters the skin again. This nail needs to be checked and trimmed periodically.
Ear cleaning can be extremely variable depending on the pet, some only need a wipe periodically while others have chronic ear infections. If your pet has ears that are perpetually swollen, red and smelly, he needs to be on a lifetime maintenance program for this.
Ask your veterinarian for medications and diet changes that can help with chronic ears. Food allergies can sometimes be responsible. We recommend using a baby wipes to gently wipe them out. Never wipe deep into the inner ear canal.
If your pets ears have a black, grimy, substance in them you're pet may have a case of ear mites. Ear mites are very common and easily treated. Check your local pet store for low cost treatment options.
